How to clean chiffon bridesmaid dresses?
Step1: Soaking
Use HT oxidant to fully soak satins such as wine, coffee, ink, grass, dirt, grease, or oil. Focus on susceptible areas such as underarms, necklines, and cuffs. To remove odor, presoak the item for 30 minutes in cool water mixed with 1/4 cup of Scented Vinegar.
Step2: Handwashing or Machine Wash
Handwashing:
Handwashing is always the best and safest method for washing chiffon. If you choose to hand wash your clothes, use only cold water. Use mild soap and agitate the water gently. Do not rub the fabrics together. It causes wear and can make stains deeper.
Remember to check for stains. These can be difficult to handle, especially if they remain in the fabric for too long.
Machine Wash:
Turn the dress inside out to prevent fading, and place it in a Mesh Washing Bag.
Select the delicate cycle on the washing machine, and make sure the water temperature is cold and the spin is low.
Add the appropriate amount of laundry detergent according to the machine and load size.
Step3: Drying
Dry it on a drying rack or hang it to dry. Do not put your clothes in the dryer! In order to remove the wrinkles, we recommend the best and safest completion of steam. You can use an iron to heat up the dress if you don't have a steamer.
Step4: Storing
Chiffon dresses can be hung on a hanger; however, be mindful of clips because they can leave marks on the material.
We recommend storing in a breathable cotton Hanging Storage Bag to protect items from bugs.
Storing in plastic encourages yellowing and can trap mildew-causing moisture, a prime environment for bugs.
